The MICROSISTEMAS Integrated FP Center will implement for the first time in Lanzarote the possibility of studying a 100% Official FP double degree. In the academic year 2021/22, the Center will offer the first promotion of combined cycles in the health branch. Students from Lanzarote will be able to enroll in a double FP degree in Nursing Auxiliary Care and Dietetics, as well as in Dental Hygienist and Nursing Auxiliary Care.
According to the Director of the MICROSISTEMAS Integrated FP Center, Beatriz Salazar, “this is a pioneering project in Lanzarote and aims to add a plus of specialization to the students, achieving with a double FP degree in the health branch a versatile profile that will provide them with a global approach, which will allow them to respond to the challenges that arise, enriching their curriculum with these two official degrees and improving their degree of employability, since they are better prepared for a competitive market and with greater flexibility of professional opportunities”.
Salazar assures that “the health sector is undoubtedly one of the great generators of employment in Spain and throughout Europe. This professional branch has many opportunities in the public and private sectors. After the Covid-19 crisis, graduates in the health sector are demanding trained professionals, and factors such as the increase in life expectancy lead to a greater development of geriatric services, so this professional sector is necessary today, but also in the future”.
Two official FP degrees in 3 Academic Courses
5 reasons to study double FP Degrees:
1.-Greater employability. Sectors such as health have emerged as one of the most interesting in terms of professional opportunities. Companies value very positively that the candidate for the position presents two degrees in their curriculum, which gives them greater flexibility of professional opportunities. According to data provided by the State Public Employment Service, the labor demand for these graduates has reflected a great increase compared to the previous year.
2.-Time saving. Studying a double FP Degree is one of the fastest and safest alternatives to access the labor market. It allows you to obtain two FP degrees in 3 years.
3.-Access the university in a single step. Students with a Higher Degree have the possibility of accessing university studies and validating credits in university careers in the same branch of knowledge. At the MICROSISTEMAS Integrated FP Center, students can continue their university education if they wish, by virtue of the Agreement signed with the Isabel I University, which allows them direct access to the University Degree, being able to validate credits for up to two years of studies.
4.-Thematic coincidence. The training of this double degree, given the content of both degrees from the same family of studies, enriches the academic life of the students and allows a broader assimilation of knowledge.
5.-Importance of work practices. One of the competitive advantages of studying FP is that students carry out real practices in health centers and, since they are taking a double degree, these are doubled in number of hours, so when they finish their studies they are fully prepared to join the job. The Center has the support of a network of leading companies in the business fabric, some of them of the highest level and that actively participate during its development, committed to improving employability, facilitating the transition from the educational to the labor field and providing them with valuable experience. They are also conceived as a bridge between training cycles and future insertion, since they prioritize companies that intend to give continuity to these with employment.

NURSING AUXILIARY CARE + DENTAL HYGIENE
- Primary and community home care, health promotion. Oral health, consultations and nursing homes.
- Specialized care: consultations, hospitalization, emergencies, pediatrics, special units (ICU, ICU, etc.), geriatrics, etc.
- Health centers, balneotherapy centers, social affairs departments of ministries, autonomous communities and town halls.
- Dental Hygienist in a Dental Clinic in the private sector, employed or self-employed.
- Dental Hygienist in Hospital (in the National Health System or in the private sector).
- Health speaker at the level of prevention and promotion of oral health.
- Research in oral health at an epidemiological level.
NURSING AUXILIARY CARE + DIETETICS
- Primary and community home care and oral health.
- Specialized care: consultations, hospitalization, emergencies, pediatrics, special units (ICU, ICU, etc.), geriatrics, etc.

Officiality of the titles
All the FP Degree studies offered at the MICROSISTEMAS Integrated FP Center are Official and valid throughout the national territory, being an Authorized Center by the Ministry of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands.
Scholarships and Grants
Being Official Degrees, all our students can apply for scholarships and grants from the Ministry of Education or subsidize training up to 100% of the cost.
