Bar Cofradía de Pescadores San Ginés, an emblematic establishment on the Arrecife dock, dates back to 1940. It is one of the most popular meeting points among seafarers, which, due to its excellent value for money, continues to attract a very varied clientele in search of homemade recipes at affordable prices. For the last 15 years, La Cofradía de Pescadores San Ginés has been run by Oliver Hernandez and Moncho Martin, both originally from the neighboring island of La Graciosa. Oliver and Moncho have been able to adapt La Cofradía to the times, always expanding and improving its gastronomic and leisure offer.
La Cofradía is open from Monday to Saturday from 06:30 to 22:00. Every Friday from 21:30 they offer a free popular barbecue (with chops, chorizo, ribs, chicken, a variety of sausages and more...), where only drinks are charged, at very affordable prices. Without a doubt, one of its busiest days with a clientele that regularly celebrates the start of the weekend here. During the week we will find a menu for 7 euros and also a menu of dishes with the best fish from La Graciosa and a selection of Iberian and top quality meats.
The menu varies according to the market and includes octopus, squid, a selection of rice dishes to order, Iberian pork cuts, generous grilled fish, veal fillet and a delicious variety of montaditos and tapas, among others. It is advisable to ask for dishes off the menu, such as the delicious sweet potato and grouper cake, available on request. For lunch, on Thursdays they serve goat meat and on Fridays caldo millo, in addition to the menu and dishes from the menu.
La Cofradía is available for celebrations and events with capacity for 50 people inside and approximately 150 people outside. For this Christmas they have 8 menus for groups, family or friends gatherings, which range between 12 euros and 28 euros per person (with beer, soft drink or wine). They also have an external catering service available to their clients for events and celebrations of all kinds outside their facilities.
