This Friday, March 8, the winery presented its latest wines at its facilities, before authorities, winegrowers and friends, in this case a duo, which aims to honor the winegrower for his work.
The event, dedicated to the winegrowers present, consisted of a commented tasting where Don Diego and Doña Dulce, two peasants, described and praised each other's virtues.
At the event, the winegrowers were publicly thanked for their work, which is vital in the conservation of the landscape and in the maintenance of the wine tradition of Conejera, as stated by Macarena López, manager of the winery.
The wines, two bottles that represent one to "Don Diego", a semi-dry wine made from Diego grapes, and the other to "Doña Dulce", a semi-sweet wine made from Moscatel grapes, are presented in a box that matches the labeling, which corresponds to the well-known works "The Peasant" and "The Peasant Woman" by César Manrique.
During the event, the winery thanked the César Manrique Foundation, and especially its director, Mr. Fernando Gómez Aguilera, for the trust placed in the project and for having selflessly ceded the artist's images.
Also during the event, a trip to Fuerteventura was raffled among the winegrowers, with Fidel Morales, a winegrower from Tinajo, winning.
"Don Diego and Doña Dulce" are now on sale in the winery's wine shop and are sure to generate a lot of talk due to their originality and flavor.
