Twelve deaths and 1,838 new cases of Covid in the Canary Islands

The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 589.38 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 1,776.77 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

The Canary Islands adds this Friday 1,838 new cases of coronavirus. In addition, in the last hours the death of 12 people has been reported, seven were counted in Gran Canaria and five in Tenerife. Of the total number of deaths, 11 were between 67 and 96 years old, the remaining person was 37 years old. All had previous pathologies, except for two of the cases with 67 and 82 years.

The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 589.38 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 1,776.77 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 596 cases with a total of 46,652 cases that are epidemiologically active; Gran Canaria has 918 more than the previous day and 41,899 active. Lanzarote adds 81 new cases with 4,814 epidemiologically active; Fuerteventura has 119 new cases and 6,171 active. La Palma adds 100 new positives, so it has 1,145 active. La Gomera adds 11 new cases, so its assets are 136 and El Hierro adds 13 new positives, so it has 218 active cases.

Until this Friday, a total of 3,078,358 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 8,937 correspond to Thursday.

The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 253,797 with 101,035 active, of which 90 are admitted to the ICU and 635 remain hospitalized.
