The Canary Islands added this Tuesday 2,495 new cases of coronavirus and mourns the death of 14 people. As reported by the Ministry of Health, these are nine men and four women, aged between 77 and 98 years, except for one of 44 years. Of the total number of deaths, six were recorded in Tenerife, five in Gran Canaria, two in La Palma (one of them pending validation) and one in Fuerteventura, and all had previous pathologies.
The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 782.74 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 2,322.71 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife adds 810 cases with a total of 45,322 cases that are epidemiologically active; Gran Canaria has 1,029 more than the previous day and 39,801 active cases. Lanzarote adds 149 new cases with 5,567 epidemiologically active cases; Fuerteventura has 149 new cases and 5,809 active cases. La Palma adds 294 new positives, bringing the total to 1,348 active cases. La Gomera adds 21 new cases, bringing its active cases to 148, and El Hierro adds 43 new positives, bringing its total to 240 active cases.
As of this Tuesday, a total of 3,049,787 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 10,588 correspond to Monday.
The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 247,625 with 98,235 active cases, of which 87 are admitted to the ICU and 622 remain hospitalized.
