The President of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijo, announced this Tuesday that the Popular Party has confirmed that it will participate in the meeting with the Government of Spain and those of the Canary Islands and Ceuta to discuss the referral of migrant minors from the Canary Islands to the rest of the autonomous communities.
"There is a response from the PP, there is a real possibility that the meeting will take place", not this week but next week, which may facilitate that solutions are proposed for the reform of the Immigration Law in view of the Conference of Presidents on December 13, Clavijo announced in the control session of the executive of the Parliament of the Canary Islands.
The Canarian president reported that last week he traveled to Madrid to discuss this issue with the PP, after the popular representatives abandoned the conversations about the distribution of the minors, and praised the performance of the vice president of the Government of the Canary Islands, Manuel Domínguez, of the PP, for having "fought" with the national leadership of his party.
