Canary Islands starts the week with 659 new cases of coronavirus. In addition, in the last hours the death of two people in Tenerife has been reported. All had previous pathologies and were in hospital. On the other hand, the Ministry of Health reports that, due to a statistical adjustment, one death has been reduced on the island of Gran Canaria.
Until this Monday, a total of 3,219,983 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 2,666 correspond to Sunday.
The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 267.70 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 527.22 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife adds 194 cases with a total of 6,208 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 376 more than the previous day and 7,489 active cases. Lanzarote adds 33 new cases with 384 epidemiologically active cases; Fuerteventura has 44 new cases and 1,284 active cases. La Palma adds 11 new positives, so it has 314 active cases. El Hierro adds a new case, so its assets are 26 and La Gomera does not add any new positives, so it has 62 active cases.
The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 278,729 with 15,767 active cases, of which 53 are admitted to the ICU and 340 remain hospitalized.
