Canary Islands reports three deaths and 1,147 cases of Covid in the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands provisionally reports this Saturday 1,147 new cases of Covid coronavirus. The total of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 263,401 with 104,582 active, of which 83 are admitted to the ICU and 583 remain hospitalized. In the last hours the death of three people in Tenerife has been confirmed, pending validation by the General Directorate of Public Health.

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 314.12 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 870.24 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 462 cases with a total of 122,541 accumulated cases and 48,933 epidemiologically active cases; Gran Canaria has 97,659 accumulated cases, 461 more than the previous day 45,093 active. Lanzarote adds 43 new cases with 18,452 accumulated and 2,924 epidemiologically active. Fuerteventura has 13,001 accumulated cases, with 81 new cases and 6,782 active. La Palma adds 80 new positives, so it has 8,603 accumulated and 639 active. El Hierro adds 16 new positives, so its accumulated are 1,613 and it has 127 active cases and La Gomera adds four new cases, so it has 1,532 accumulated and its assets are 84.

To date, a total of 3,131,464 diagnostic tests have been carried out on the Islands, of which 6,449 correspond to the previous day.

The Ministry of Health recalls that these data published this Saturday in the Grafcan portal are provisional and are pending validation by the Public Health teams. In this way, the dynamics of the Coordinating Center for Alerts and Emergencies is followed, which does not receive epidemiological information from the Autonomous Communities on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.


 

Therefore, the data contained in this press release may vary once they are epidemiologically reviewed and consolidated by the General Directorate of Public Health according to the established protocols, so in the coming days discrepancies may arise in the updating of the data contained in the Grafcan website.
