Canary Islands regrets another death from Covid and registers 975 new positives

The Archipelago has 14,499 active cases, of which 41 are admitted to the ICU and 304 remain hospitalized

This Wednesday, the Canary Islands added 975 new cases of coronavirus. In addition, in the last hours the death of a 92-year-old person in Tenerife who was in hospital and had previous pathologies has been reported.

Until this Wednesday, a total of 3,267,745 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 3,597 correspond to Tuesday.

The Accumulated Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 408.19 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 775.71 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

By islands, Tenerife adds 272 cases with a total of 5,997 cases that are epidemiologically active; Gran Canaria has 558 more than the previous day and 6,914 active cases. Lanzarote adds 42 new cases with 538 epidemiologically active cases; Fuerteventura has 29 new cases and 557 active cases. La Palma adds 55 new positives, so it has 368 active cases. La Gomera has nine new positives with 95 active cases, and El Hierro adds ten new cases, so its active cases are 30.

The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 292,922 with 14,499 active cases, of which 41 are admitted to the ICU and 304 remain hospitalized.
