The Canary Islands added this Friday 2,799 new cases of coronavirus. In addition, in the last few hours the death of five people between 55 and 94 years of age has been reported, three men and two women. Of the total number of deaths, three were recorded in Tenerife and two in Gran Canaria, all had previous pathologies and were in hospital.
As of this Friday, a total of 3,018,125 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 9,975 correspond to Thursday.
The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 1,156.05 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 2,816.61 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife adds 985 cases with a total of 44,696 cases that are epidemiologically active; Gran Canaria has 1,218 more than the previous day and 36,813 active cases. Lanzarote adds 171 new cases with 6,229 epidemiologically active cases; Fuerteventura has 171 new cases and 5,513 active cases. La Palma adds 193 new positives, bringing the total to 1,604 active cases. La Gomera adds -23 new cases, bringing its active cases to 171, and El Hierro adds 38 new positives, bringing the total to 290 active cases.
The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 240,066 with 95,317 active cases, of which 80 are admitted to the ICU and 579 remain hospitalized.
