The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has reported this Friday 1,023 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus. The total of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 73,367 with 10,393 active, of which 60 are admitted to the ICU and 357 remain hospitalized. In the last hours, two deaths have been registered in Tenerife, a five-year-old child who suffered an accidental drowning and respiratory worsening due to SARS-CoV2 infection, and a 90-year-old woman, who suffered from previous pathologies.
The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands is 232.82 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days it is 413.2 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife adds 529 cases with a total of 35,106 accumulated cases and 6,204 epidemiologically active; Gran Canaria has 27,450 accumulated, 391 more, and 3,344 active. For its part, Lanzarote adds 21 positives, with 6,000 accumulated and 177 active; Fuerteventura has 3,197 accumulated cases, with 38 more than the previous day, and 419 active. La Palma adds 20 new cases, so it has 866 accumulated and 167 active; El Hierro adds five cases, so it has 414 accumulated and 14 active cases, while La Gomera adds 19 new positives, so it has 333 accumulated and 68 active.
Until this Friday, 1,767,104 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 9,498 correspond to this Thursday
