The Canary Islands adds this Thursday 1,151 new cases of coronavirus. In addition, in the last hours the death of eight people aged between 68 and 93 years has been reported, except for a case of 53 years. Of the total number of deaths, five were recorded in Gran Canaria and three in Tenerife. All had previous pathologies and were in hospital.
Until this Thursday a total of 3,117,410 diagnostic tests have been carried out in the Islands, of which 6,079 correspond to Wednesday.
The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 349.46 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days at 1,008.48 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By islands, Tenerife adds 287 cases with a total of 48,221 cases that are epidemiologically active; Gran Canaria has 624 more than the previous day and 44,270 active cases. Lanzarote adds 60 new cases with 3,297 epidemiologically active cases. Fuerteventura has 75 new cases and 6,614 active cases. La Palma adds 87 new positives, bringing the total to 906 active cases. El Hierro adds 12 new positives, bringing the total to 117 active cases and La Gomera adds 6 new cases, bringing the total to 108 active cases.
The total number of accumulated cases in the Canary Islands is 260,778 with 103,533 active cases, of which 88 are admitted to the ICU and 596 remain hospitalized.
