This Tuesday, the Canary Islands has added two people who have tested positive for coronavirus, so it registers a total of 2,449 cases since the counting of people affected by the virus began, according to data from the Regional Ministry of Health.

Thus, of the 2,449 positives currently registered in the archipelago, 63 are active, while 2,224 have been discharged and 162 people have lost their lives due to the coronavirus.

Regarding the 63 active cases in the Canary Islands, only one is admitted to an Intensive Care Unit, while another is on the ward and the remaining 61 are in isolation in their homes.

By islands, Tenerife continues to be the island with the most cases with 1,506, of which 8 remain active, while 1,388 people have been discharged from hospital and 110 have died. After Tenerife is Gran Canaria with 610 positives, 10 of them active, 561 overcame the virus and 39 died.

Fuerteventura, for its part, is currently the island with the most active cases, since of the 87 it has registered, 40 remain and 47 people have been discharged from hospital.

Thus, at this time Lanzarote with 88 positives, six deaths and 82 discharges; as well as La Palma with 107 cases, seven deaths and 100 medical discharges; La Gomera with eight positives and El Hierro with three, do not have any active cases at this time.
