Canary Islands adds 93 new cases and one death in the last 24 hours

The Cumulative Incidence at 7 days in the Canary Islands stands at 31.3 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and at 14 days it is 66.87 cases

The Canary Islands has registered 93 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total accumulated in the archipelago rises to 94,242, while the deceased rise to 973 by adding one death in the last day, according to data from the Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government.

Thus, of the total cases, 3,987 are active (-436), of which 45 are admitted to the ICU (+1), 222 remain hospitalized (+6) and 3,720 are in their homes. In addition, 89,282 people have overcome the disease so far in the pandemic in the archipelago.

As for the Cumulative Incidence (IA) at 7 days in the Canary Islands, it stands at 31.3 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days is 66.87 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Also, a total of 2,087,695 PCR tests have been carried out in the islands, of which 123,547 were positive, which represents 5.92 percent.

By islands, Tenerife adds 37 positives, accumulating 45,134 cases, of which 1,190 are epidemiologically active (-10), 557 have died and 43,387 have overcome the disease; Gran Canaria has 36,054 accumulated (+27), of which 2,473 are active (-318), 328 have died (+1) and 33,253 have been discharged from hospital.

For its part, Lanzarote adds 13 positives, with 6,758 accumulated, of which 87 are active (+4), while it has registered 51 deaths and 6,621 have overcome the disease; Fuerteventura has 4,348 accumulated cases (+14), of which 228 are active (-113), 17 have died and 4,103 have been discharged from hospital; and La Palma adds a new case, so it has 1,091 accumulated, of which four remain active, 16 have died and 1,071 have been discharged from hospital.

Finally, El Hierro remains in the accumulated 402 by not adding new cases, of which two are active, four have died and 447 have overcome the disease; while La Gomera accumulates 402 cases, of which two are active, one has died and 399 have been discharged from hospital.
