The Canary Islands has registered 78 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, so the total accumulated in the archipelago rises to 94,501, while the deaths are at 979 after adding three deaths --two in Tenerife and one in Gran Canaria-- in the last day, according to data from the Ministry of Health of the Canary Islands Government.
Thus, of the total cases, 2,431 are active (-461), of which 43 are admitted to the ICU (-2), 210 remain hospitalized (-7) and 2,178 are in their homes (-452). In addition, 90,555 people have overcome the disease so far in the pandemic in the archipelago after 536 people were discharged from hospital in the last hours.
Regarding the Cumulative Incidence (IA) at 7 days in the Canary Islands, it stands at 27.71 cases per 100,000 inhabitants and the IA at 14 days is at 61.17 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. Also, a total of 2,103,027 PCR tests have been carried out in the islands, of which 123,994 were positive, which represents 5.9 percent.
By islands, Tenerife adds 27 positives, accumulating 45,235 cases, of which 1,087 are epidemiologically active (-87), 560 have died (+2) and 43,588 have overcome the disease; Gran Canaria has 36,133 accumulated (+23), of which 1,102 are active (-377), 331 have died (+1) and 34,700 have been discharged from hospital.
For its part, Lanzarote adds 10 positives, with 6,794 accumulated, of which 102 are active, while it has registered 51 deaths and 6,642 have overcome the disease; Fuerteventura has 4,381 accumulated cases (+11), of which 122 are active (-4), 17 have died and 4,242 have been discharged from hospital; and La Palma adds three cases and reaches 1,095 accumulated, of which seven are active, 16 have died and 1,072 have been discharged from hospital.
Finally, El Hierro adds three cases and accumulates 458, of which seven are active, four have died and 447 have overcome the disease; while La Gomera accumulates 402 cases, of which two are active, one has died and 399 have been discharged from hospital.
