A young woman from Tenerife has tested positive for coronavirus while on vacation in Catalonia, after having been traveling through Italy. This has been confirmed by the Health Department of the Generalitat, which has reported what is the third case in its community.
According to the Conselleria in a statement, it is a 22-year-old woman who traveled to northern Italy and is isolated in the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona "in mild condition." Specifically, she traveled to Milan between February 19 and 25, and that day she traveled to Barcelona, where she planned to spend a few days before returning to Tenerife.
Upon arriving in the Catalan capital, she went to the Hospital Clínic, where she was isolated after it was confirmed that she has Covid-19, and at this time, Health is studying the close contacts that the woman may have had. Following the protocol, once identified, they will be advised to isolate themselves at home with active monitoring by public health services.
