The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands has confirmed this Wednesday a total of 23 positive cases for coronavirus Covid-19 in the Hogar San José Residence of Finca España, in the municipality of La Laguna, a center that cares for women with disabilities.
Sources from the regional department indicate that the center, managed by a religious congregation and owned by the Cabildo, has a total of 52 people, 25 users, 5 religious and 22 workers and volunteers and of them 7 users, 2 religious, 13 workers and 1 volunteer have tested positive.
The start of the contagion began with a user who was admitted on the 19th and is now hospitalized.
The rest of the positives are asymptomatic or with mild symptoms and are in home isolation and the center has already been cleaned and disinfected as required by health protocols.
