Club Unión Sur Yaiza has confirmed this Friday a positive case of covid-19 in its Regional Preferente team, a team that was due to face CD Becerril of Gran Canaria this Saturday, May 22, at 4:00 p.m., at the Yaiza municipal field, a match that has been suspended after the diagnosis was confirmed by PCR test. The Club has notified the incident to Health, the Yaiza City Council and the Insular and Interinsular Football Federations of Las Palmas in order to activate the protocol in favor of preserving public health, in fact, Health has already activated the tracking, according to Club sources.
US Yaiza confirms that the contagion is totally unrelated to the sports field, but in any case the entire squad will be subjected to PCR tests in the next few hours and the players will remain ten days without training. US Yaiza informs that the affected player first tested positive for the antigen and then confirmed the contagion in the PCR test.
The activity of the rest of the US Yaiza categories continues normally in training and competition in view of the contingency plan against covid that prevents the groups from meeting in their training days.
