Saturday afternoon. Football match at the Anexo de Gran Canaria stadium between U.D. Las Palmas "C" and U.D. Lanzarote. Different scenario, again good play, good feelings and dedication but luck was again elusive for the rojillo team.
In the first half, a match of power to power could be seen, dynamic, disputed and where both teams were able to make fluid and showy ball possessions. There were not too many clear goal chances but many approaches to the two areas.
In the 30th minute of the match, the visiting team lost a ball in the center of the field, the action was taken advantage of by the local team to start the counterattack and after a through pass that reached Adrián Socorro, the ball went into the back of the net after a good definition of the yellow striker despite the attempt to prevent the goal by goalkeeper Agoney. U.D. Las Palmas took the lead on the scoreboard.
UD did not give up and kept trying despite the adversity of the result. Thus, in the 46th minute of the match, shortly before half-time, a lateral foul executed by Nico González was finished off by the rojillo captain, Rosmen Quevedo. The ball went into the back of the net. It was 1-1. The first 45 minutes would conclude with this result.
The match continued along the same lines during the second half. Both teams tried to take control of the match through combined football and fluidity in the game. There were several arrivals to the two areas. UD Las Palmas "C" was left with one less player on the field in the 79th minute of the match, after Álex Hernández received the second yellow card, which led to his corresponding expulsion.
When the match seemed to be ending in a draw, in the 91st minute of the match, the local player, Stephane, masterfully executed a free kick from the edge of the area that would end in a goal despite the stretch of the visiting goalkeeper. It was 2-1 for U.D. Las Palmas "C". With this result, the match came to an end. U.D. loses another match this season in added time.
