UD Lanzarote visited CD Vera on Sunday morning in a match corresponding to the 14th round of Group XII of the Third Division RFEF, a match that ended in a goalless draw. The good interventions of the goalkeepers prevented goals from being seen at Salvador Ledesma, in a match in which the local team suffered the expulsions of Jürgen and Adrián Plaza and the red team was left without the participation of Keita.
The first part of the match was alternating play and with very few arrivals to the areas by both teams. Both squads were left with one less player on the field in the middle of the first period. In the 21st minute, the local Jürgen was sent off and just two minutes later the visitor Keita had to leave the field, both receiving two yellow cards.
UD Lanzarote had a good chance near the first half hour.
Alyson sped away from the local defenders, stood alone in front of Edwing and the Brazilian was not accurate in the definition when sending the ball out of the three posts. The response from CD Vera would come in the 43rd minute with a cross shot from inside the area that went close to the crossbar.
The second half began with another chance for UD Lanzarote. Miguel Gopar received a through ball to enter the area, but the midfielder's shot was intercepted by goalkeeper Edwing to send the ball to a corner kick.
CD Vera was left with nine players in the 63rd minute, with Adrián Plaza being sent off with a direct red card after making a hard tackle on Dani González. A numerical superiority that was used by the red team to launch in search of the goal that would have given them the victory.
Alyson once again starred in a good play in the 70th minute, with the Brazilian receiving a ball from the baseline and the shot being cleared under the posts by Fernando. The response from CD Vera would come nine minutes later, with Ruymán having to intervene to prevent Jorge Hernández's goal.
In the final minutes, UD Lanzarote approached with danger. A cross from debutant Rubén Martín allowed Rubo to control the ball inside the area, but his shot went close to the base of the post.
With the goalless draw, the match would come to an end, with UD Lanzarote adding their sixth draw of the season to place them in seventh place in the standings. The red team will receive the visit of CD Buzanada next Sunday, a match that will be played from 11:30 am at the Ciudad Deportiva Lanzarote.
