UD Lanzarote once again added a victory last Sunday at noon and consolidated its position in the play-off zone for promotion with three matchdays remaining until the end of the regular phase of the Third Federation competition. The rojillos showed patience to overcome UD Ibarra, a team they ended up defeating 3-1, earning the three points at stake.
The first half of the match lacked rhythm, and UD Lanzarote gradually became infected by the intensity that suited the Tenerife team. The only approach from the home side came in the 5th minute, with an incursion by Gonzalo Di Renzo on the left, where he passed to Ayoze Pérez, whose shot was caught by the goalkeeper high up.

Mateo García changed the system due to the team's problems in generating danger and began playing with Yeray Cruz and Keita as wing-backs. There was no way to create chances, and the first 45 minutes ended in a goalless draw.
In the 9th minute of the restart, UD Lanzarote took the lead with a set-piece action. Isaac took a corner, and Gonzalo Di Renzo headed the ball into the back of the net. Just two minutes later, Ibarra equalized with an incursion by Juanito on the left, who beat Ruymán with a crossed shot.

UD Lanzarote did not lower their intensity, and in another set-piece action, they managed to take the lead with eleven minutes remaining. Keita took a long throw-in, Gonzalo Di Renzo extended it to the far post, and Raúl was in charge of finishing into the back of the net from close range.

And the sentence would come in injury time. Pipo started the attack, saw Gonzalo Di Renzo's run to stand alone inside the area, and beat goalkeeper Kevin with a low shot. The Argentine striker scored his 17th goal of the season.
3-1 victory for UD Lanzarote against UD Ibarra, three points that allow the rojillo team to be in the third position of the classification and consolidate in the promotion play-off zone. The next rival will be Panadería Pulido San Mateo.
