UD Lanzarote returned to competition this Sunday, after last week's break, facing CD Marino in the fourth match of Group XII of the Third Federation. The rojillos were superior to their rival, and in the second half they achieved goals from Rodrigo and Meca, to leave the three points in the Lanzarote Sports City.

From the beginning of the match, UD Lanzarote worked to take control of the game and began to generate its first dangerous chances. The first warning came in the 14th minute, with a through ball from Ismael Traoré for Gonzalo Di Renzo and the striker's shot went excessively high. Shortly after, Cedenilla shot from the edge of the area without finding the goal.

The strong heat, present in the Lanzarote Sports City, caused the pace to drop as the minutes passed. The first half ended with a chance for each team. In the 41st minute, a free kick taken by Cedenilla rebounded off the barrier and Ismael Traoré shot the loose ball from inside the area, meeting Sergio's response from below. And in the 44th minute, a shot from Efrén tested Alejandro's reflexes.

The second half could not have started better for the local interests, putting the 1-0 on the scoreboard after only 24 seconds of play. Di Renzo pressured Octavio, the defender gave way back to his goalkeeper, the ball fell short and Rodrigo took advantage of it to get the ball, dribble past the goalkeeper and score into an empty net.

Minutes later, UD Lanzarote would increase the differences on the scoreboard. Cedenilla, who was very active throughout the match, was in charge of executing a free kick from the right side, he did it short and backwards to the position where Meca was and the powerful shot from the inside went into the back of the net.

From there, UD Lanzarote controlled the match at will with the two-goal advantage they had acquired, and in front they had a CD Marino, who despite taking a step forward, did not generate danger on the goal defended by Alejandro.

2-0 victory for UD Lanzarote against CD Marino, with the rojillos adding the first victory of the season and three points that allows them to climb some positions in the standings.
