The Magec Tías Sports Club, taking advantage of the break in competitions due to the Easter holidays, has moved different teams outside our borders to participate in several national and international tournaments. The first to travel were the female and male minibasket teams, participating in the "El Toyo" Tournament (Almería), near Cabo de Gata.
The teams trained by Yanira and Brenda lived for almost a week with more than a thousand players, from all over the national geography. An Easter base basketball tournament that has become one of the "places of worship" for basketball in training ages, with a tournament that is played from the minibasket category to the junior category. All the teams were concentrated in the same hotel and played the matches in the same pavilion.
The Lidl Magec Tías traveled to Almería with 23 children, for many of them it was the first tournament they played outside the island and even the first trip they made without being accompanied by their parents. The exemplary behavior of the players on and off the court, and the successes achieved in the tournament, where they were champions of the male and female categories, serves to continue working in the same line at the club chaired by Leocadio Pérez.
The male and female preminibasket teams traveled to Santander on Wednesday, where they will be until next Saturday to play a tournament in Cantabrian lands and the 3x3 Dymercke.
Also on Wednesday another expedition from Magec Tías left Lanzarote for Germany. The female pre-infant and infant teams will participate until next Monday, March 28, in the prestigious Berlin tournament "Moabit Eaester Cup Berlín 2016" with more than 1000 participants.
