The Cabildo receives Alfredo González and Cristian Sánchez after winning the Spanish Snipe Championship

The champions achieved victory in a very tight final in which five boats participated, separated by six points of difference between the first and the last.

The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Oswaldo Betancort, received the athletes Alfredo González and Cristian Sánchez, from the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife (RCNA), after winning the gold in the Spanish Snipe Championship, a light sailing boat sport, held in Santander.

Oswaldo Betancort congratulated the athletes for their achievements in the Championship. In addition, he highlighted the "skill, commitment and effort" of the sailors, underlining their merits and overcoming in the national competition.

The Minister of Sports, Juan Monzón, who also participated in the reception, pointed out that "they are an inspiration for the young sailors of our island". "Their victory not only enriches the record of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife, but also puts Lanzarote and La Graciosa on the map of national and international sailing," says the councilor.
