The Spanish Junior National Team begins to prepare its participation in the previous phase of the Junior Handball World Championship, which will take place from March 15 to 25 in Portugal. The Technical Area of the Royal Spanish Handball Federation has announced the list of players who have been called to the first training camp and that will take place in Madrid from February 25 to 28.
The notification of her call arrived on Tuesday afternoon at the headquarters of CB Lanzarote Zonzamas. The Lanzarote player replaces Mirene Moreno, who cannot attend training due to discomfort in her knee.
The CB Lanzarote Zonzamas player is having an important role in the team this season. In last Saturday's match against S.A.R. Rodaviego, Sara de León scored 16 goals, currently being the top scorer in group A of the Women's Silver Division of Honor. Sara de León has scored 150 goals this season in the 19 games played, with an average of 7.89 goals per game.
The selected players will be concentrated in Madrid on February 25, staying at the Joaquín Blume residence, with morning and afternoon training sessions scheduled at the facilities of the Higher Sports Council. The national team will play a preparation match against Helvetia Alcobendas, leader of its group in the Women's Silver Division of Honor of Handball.
