The Lanzarote Sports City hosted the presentation of the Canary Islands Grappling Championship this Friday.
This event will be held this weekend in the same enclave, bringing together 258 athletes from six islands. This is a martial art that requires dedication, discipline and sacrifice.
The presentation ceremony was attended by the Minister of Sports of the Island Corporation, Juan Monzón; the president of the Canary Islands Federation of Olympic Wrestling, Minerva Montero, and the president of TAZ Lanzarote, Jonathan Hernández.
Juan Monzón invited citizens to attend this sporting event where the qualifying round for the Spanish, European and world championships will be held, in the categories from U5 to absolute senior. "Without a doubt, it is a great opportunity to give recognition and support to this discipline," he stressed.
The Cabildo of Lanzarote reinforces its commitment to supporting sports matters that demonstrate the talent and effort of athletes on the island, especially with those modalities that differentiate the Island, as is the case of this martial art.
