Magec Tías "Against Gender Violence" was playing to secure their permanence in the first "match ball" they had this season, and for that, they had to win against HGB Ausarta Barakaldo, a team that had already achieved salvation weeks ago. A match with which they put an end to the marathon of matches they have had to play in recent weeks and in which the Lanzarote team has managed to overcome adversities.

The match soon seemed to go wrong for the Lanzarote team, who saw how their rival began to have a lot of success in the outside shot. Jesús García's girls were eager to put more intensity into the defense and, after losing by 12 points, they managed to have a good scoring streak, finishing the quarter only 3 behind.

The second quarter was very similar to the first, with the exception that Magali Vilches reached three personal fouls, which could be a problem for the local team. Imani Robinson began to show her best version, the one that had helped the team so many times away from home, converting two consecutive three-pointers that allowed Magec Tías "Against Gender Violence" to get back into the game, when it seemed that the Basque team managed to put land in between. At halftime, the score was 44 to 49 favorable to the visiting team.

This season the third quarters have been very good for the locals and that's where the hopes of the match were placed. However, the Basque team managed, through a lot of success in their shots and a very strong defense, to have a difference of up to 17 points. The sensations were not positive at all, but if this team has shown anything during the 2021/2022 season, it is that it never gives up. The islanders drew strength from weakness and began to gradually reduce the difference on the scoreboard, managing to reach the end of the third quarter with a score of 63 to 67.

Magec Tías "Against Gender Violence" had only been ahead on the scoreboard in the first moments of the match, but the fact of having reduced a disadvantage of 17 points to only four gave the Lanzarote team an extra confidence. Before reaching the equator of the last quarter, the red and blacks had managed to turn the result around and put the Barakaldo team in serious trouble. The differences even increased with the passing of the minutes, reaching up to 7 points in favor of the islanders, who managed to reach the last seconds of the match with a minimum security advantage over their rival, who even scoring a three-pointer with one second left, ended up losing by 83 to 82.

This sixth consecutive victory of Magec Tías "Against Gender Violence", in addition to increasing their record of consecutive victories in the national category, serves to mathematically save their place in the Women's League 2 and enjoy the next three matches without any pressure, but going out to compete to try to finish the season with many more victories in their locker.
