Lanzarote's Tamar González won the Spanish Triathlon Championship in her age group this weekend, held in Pontevedra. A victory that gives her a direct place in the ITU World Championship that will be held next year in Spain, also in Galicia. "I wanted to run a world championship, and I knew that the next one was in Spain, and running it at home is beautiful," she says.
The triathlete completed the Spanish long distance championship, taking a time of 7 hours 33 minutes. A test that includes 3 kilometers swimming, 120 kilometers by bike and 30 kilometers running.
Tamar González is tenth in Spain overall, by age and elite, and in this event she won in all age groups.
