The LandBit Lanzarote San José Obrero had a formality match on Saturday afternoon, in which nothing was at stake and they were simply preparing for the promotion phase to be held at the end of May. Despite this, the Lanzarote team did not have the necessary attitude against Granitos Ibéricos Carballal Balonmano and ended up conceding a draw in their last home game of the regular season.

From the start of the match, LandBit Lanzarote looked too relaxed, with Acoidán Martín opening the scoring and then conceding a 0-3 partial. The locals had to row against the current in these first minutes, but the reaction came soon with goals from Ángel Iglesias, Aco and Óscar Silva who put the score at 7-4.

Granitos Ibáricos Carballal Balonmano was able to re-balance the score in the middle of the first half, with Ignacio Costas scoring from the pivot to make it 8-8. Until the end of the first half, equality took hold of the match and with the result of 13-12 the first 30 minutes of the match came to an end.

LandBit Lanzarote San José Obrero had a better attitude for many minutes of the second half. Near the halfway point of the period, Carmelo Álvarez scored to make it 21-17 on the scoreboard, prompting a time-out from the Carballal coach. From that moment on, the local team disappeared from the court and was at the mercy of the opponent.

With four minutes to go, Granitos Ibéricos Carballal was able to take the lead, with Iván Soage scoring a seven-meter shot (25-26). Mikita Liavonau put the locals ahead, and the Galicians had the last attacking play. Juani Villarreal saved a shot from the wing by Samuel Rodríguez, but incomprehensibly lost the ball in the vicinity of the area and made it easier for Roi Gallego to score the equalizer.

With the score at 28-28, the match came to an end, with LandBit Lanzarote conceding their first point this season at the Titerroy Municipal Pavilion. San José Obrero will close the regular season of the competition visiting KM13 Balonmano Gáldar next week.
