Magec Tías "Against Gender Violence" and Baloncesto Femenino León mutually infected each other with a slow game with countless unforced errors, which made the numbers low and that until the last minutes there was a game, although it ended up leaning towards the León side.

The Lanzarote team started the match by taking the lead on the scoreboard and they even looked focused on the defensive work they were doing, preventing their rival from having clarity of ideas on the court. The entry of Alicia Flórez into the visiting team gave another boost to Baloncesto Femenino León, who better organized themselves when looking for attacks and strengthened in defensive tasks, preventing Magec Tías "Against Gender Violence" from having clarity of ideas, exhausting several timeouts. To make matters worse, the locals were accumulating fouls and entering bonus in the middle of the quarter, giving more possibilities to the rivals, who went 10 to 14 at the end of the first partial.

In the second, the story was repeated despite the change of Lanzarote's defense. The León team found solutions, which were not always successful due to the number of passing errors that were committed on both sides. Rosario de León seemed to be an optimal solution for Jesús García's players, who did not have shooting success in what have been their most efficient scorers so far.

Magec Tías "Against Gender Violence" was solid in rebounds, which penalized their rival, although they had much more success in two-point shots with a 60% scoring rate compared to 20% for the locals. Again, personal fouls weighed down the Lanzarote team, who had Romina Rodríguez and Carolina Mateo with three personal fouls, when there was still plenty of time to conclude the first half, with Baloncesto Femenino León taking advantage of the absence of two important players in their rival to put some space on the scoreboard, ending the second quarter 23 to 31.

The third quarter started with an even more solid defense from the locals and, to the cry of ¡¡¡yes you can!!! from the crowded stands of the Tías Municipal Pavilion, Magec was cutting differences, believing even more in the fruit of their work, forcing Carlos Fernández to call a timeout and organize the ideas of his players. On the return, the peninsular team improved quite a bit in the back, which managed to achieve a streak of 12 consecutive points, directing the match to an uncertain victory that could change hands due to the inaccuracies of both squads. The score, with 10 minutes left, was 33 to 45, which again forced Magec Tías to believe more in their possibilities and to look for the feat, as happened a week ago against Ibaizabal.

Not always does the work go well in the office, no matter how much effort one puts in. It was not the day of Magec Tías "Against Gender Violence", who despite improving in all facets in the last quarter continued, like their rival, contaminated by errors. Baloncesto Femenino León defended with more intensity, which led them to accumulate fouls before the Lanzarote team, but the comeback was insufficient via free throws.

To make matters worse, the rivals used long transitions, knowing that they were interested in the time running out and in the steals the fruit of the point that was so needed did not arrive either. Thus, time was passing and the visiting team was increasingly seeing that victory was not escaping them, while the locals tried, already with more heart than head, but without succeeding.

Now it is time to think about the next match, where the Lanzarote team will have to visit the Guillermo García Pezzi Pavilion on Saturday the 13th at 18:30, Canary time, to face Melilla Sport Capital La Salle.
