Club Deportivo Unión Sur Yaiza has closed the incorporation of Emilio Ferreras as the new coach of its first team. The Madrid coach, born in Pinto on January 11, 1970, arrives on the island on Wednesday night and will join the team's work tomorrow, Thursday, when he will meet the players in his first training session. With this move by the southern entity, it is hoped that it can reverse the team's results dynamic in the Second Federation.

The club has worked intensely to find a substitute with experience and knowledge of the category, and the chosen one has been Emilio Ferreras, a coach with a remarkable career in national football. Ferreras has stood out for his work in Spanish football, where he has accumulated almost 500 matches between Second “B”, Third, Second Federation and Third Federation, in addition to participating in competitions such as the promotion playoffs, Copa del Rey and Copa Federación.

Ferreras began his career on the benches in the 2001/2002 season, when he took over Atlético Pinto in the Third Division. Two seasons later he signed with Fuenlabrada in Second “B”, where he was close to qualifying it for the promotion phase to Second A. Four seasons later he signed for Getafe to take charge of its subsidiary and save it from relegation, achieving it in a solvent manner and achieving, the following year, the promotion from Third to Second “B”, remaining three more years in office and with the azulón subsidiary in the upper middle zone of the classification, standing out for his tactical work and his ability to manage teams of young talent.

The Madrid coach returned to Fuenlabrada in Second “B” and has also played for other clubs such as Arandina (Second B); Alcobendas Sport, playing the play off for promotion to Second B; Getafe B in Second B; and Jaén, where, in the final part of the season, he saved the team from the Andalusian city from relegation to Preferente. His last team was with the Getafe subsidiary, which he promoted from Third to Second Federation in the 22/23 season and remained in 23/24.

The new Unión Sur Yaiza coach will take over the team this Thursday at 9:30 a.m., at the Yaiza Municipal Field, where he will begin to prepare the team's next league commitment, which will face CD Colonia Moscardó this Sunday at 12:00 p.m. at home. Ferreras is presented with the mission of straightening out the team's situation, which has not achieved the expected results so far in the Second Federation.

Unión Sur Yaiza is already working on the configuration of the technical staff that will accompany the new coach during the remainder of the season. The squad will continue with training in the following days, which will be held on Friday and Saturday morning on the same field.

On Friday, February 14 at 9:00 a.m., a press conference will be held at the same venue to officially present Emilio Ferreras as the new coach of Unión Sur Yaiza, where the coach will answer questions from the island's media.

With this incorporation, Unión Sur Yaiza seeks to recover its best version and continue with the growth of its sports project in the Second Federation.
