In the previous four visits to the Annex of the Gran Canaria Stadium, Unión Sur Yaiza had not achieved victory against UD Las Palmas Atlético. A negative streak that was cut short this Sunday, with the team led by Maxi Barrera playing a match in which they did not allow the opponent to be comfortable on the field. With the score tied at one goal, Nauzet Pérez stopped a penalty at the edge of halftime, and the southerners played the entire second
part with one less player due to the expulsion of Moha.
