The final of the cadet category of the twentieth edition of the Fundación La Caja de Canarias Tournament faced CL Tao and CL San Bartolomé, with the team led by Miguel Ángel Niz taking the victory and conquering the League and Cup double this season. The fighters of CL Tao were far superior from the first moment, increasing the difference on the scoreboard as the match progressed. Jean Pierre Moreno and Zebenzui García were the most outstanding fighters, adding the six possible points.
From the beginning of the match, a CL Tao was seen more plugged in than its rival, adding five points in the first round of matches. Jean Pierre Moreno defeated Álvaro Caraballo, Juan Carlos Domínguez grounded Akemi Álvarez, Kilian Arráez knocked down Nicolás Robayna, Zebenzui García won against Yenedey Díaz and Víctor Rodríguez knocked down Aidan Falcón. A first round that concluded with Nathan Moreno raising the first point to the scoreboard of CL San Bartolomé by grounding Ezequiel de la Fuente.
The dynamic remained the same in the second round of matches. Juan Carlos Domínguez knocked down Álvaro Caraballo, Kilian Arráez did the same with Akemi Álvarez, Zebenzui García defeated Nicolás Robayna, Víctor Rodríguez scored the point against Yenedey Díaz and Jean Pierre Moreno gave Nathan Moreno no options. Aidan Falcón scored the only point for CL San Bartolomé after knocking down Ezequiel de la Fuente.
CL Tao sentenced the final in the third and fourth round of matches, adding the "verdillos" the twelve possible points. Jean Pierre Moreno knocked down Aidan Falcón and Tristan Marcel, Zebenzui García did the same with Akemi Álvarez and Álvaro Caraballo. Víctor Rodríguez also won his two matches against Nicolás Robayna and Akemi Álvarez, as did Juan Carlos Domínguez who grounded Nathan Moreno and Aidán Falcón. The rest of the points were achieved by Ezequiel de la Fuente by grounding Tristan Marcel and Jorge Quintero by defeating Nathan Moreno.
The managers of the two teams made changes in the last two rounds of matches, fighting all the fighters who were in the call. CL San Bartolomé added four points in the fifth round of matches. Álvaro Caraballo defeated Kevin de la Hoz, Akemi Álvarez won against Raúl Figueroa, Aidan Falcón defeated Jorge Quintero and Yenedey Díaz grounded Yeray Rodríguez. In the ranks of CL Tao, Zebenzui García won against Nathan Moreno and Jean Pierre Moreno grounded Nicolás Robayna.
In the last round of matches, the two teams scored three points. CL Tao added with the victories of Zebenzui García against Alejandro Granados, Jorge Quintero against Rayco González and Jean Pierre Moreno against Akemi Álvarez. And in the ranks of CL San Bartolomé the points were added with the triumphs of Álvaro Caraballo against Yeray Rodríguez, Nathan Moreno against Kevin de la Hoz and Nicolás Robayna against Raúl Figueroa.
The fight was stopped for several minutes due to a bad fall by Aidán Falcón in his match against Jorge Quintero. The CL San Bartolomé fighter had to be transferred by ambulance to a medical center, due to the discomfort he had in his neck after the bad fall suffered.
With the result of 27 to 9 in favor of CL Tao, the final of the cadet category of the XX Fundación La Caja de Canarias Tournament came to a conclusion. At the awards ceremony, Nicolás Robayna (CL San Bartolomé) received the award for the most spectacular fighter of the competition. And the trophies for the top tumblers went to Zebenzui García, Jean Pierre Moreno and Juan Carlos Domínguez, the three fighters of CL Tao.
