Amelie Yaiza Skiba, belonging to the Poliarrecife Karate Club, who was proclaimed Champion of the Canary Islands on March 20, in the Female Youth Kumite – 47 Kilos category, has been summoned by the Canary Islands Karate Federation to be part of the Canary Islands Selection that will be representing our Autonomous Community in the Spanish Karate Championship of the Benjamin to Youth categories, which will be held in Córdoba, from the 22nd to the 24th of this month of April.
Without a doubt, an important recognition of the quality of our young karateka, who has won all the individual kumite competitions in her category at the regional level that have been held in the last year. The last of them was the Canary Islands Championship held in Icod de los Vinos on March 20. In addition, she is currently in third place in the ranking of the National Karate League, after having obtained a bronze medal in the first day of the National League held in Santiago de Compostela last January.
