Rajoy was governing Spain from January 2012 to May 2018, his main battle horse being the management of the cursed economic inheritance received from Rodríguez Zapatero, who left the Spanish people on the verge of default and with the international financing doors tightly closed. Even among the ranks of the PP it is assumed that the only presentable success of the Rajoy era is the economic one, since with respect to the political ideology and everything else, the balance is better not to mention it. However, I maintain, and so I state in my different opinion articles, that this success to which those of the blue tern cling is a mirage, because while it is true that unemployment and employment improved and that the economy went from collapse to growth, it is also true that public debt increased by more than 400,000,000,000 ? and that the tax pressure increased significantly. Therefore, after a brief analysis of the basic economic and fiscal indicators, it is concluded that the supposed success of Rajoy's economic policy, the only possible one of his six and a half years of government, is impregnated with a very clear social democratic tinge, indebtedness and tax increase, which undoubtedly takes away the consideration of success, irremediably granting it that of inheritable failure for decades, one more.
The tools that Rajoy had to achieve this failure, which the current PP tries to sell as the only success of the Rajoy era, were the laws of the different general state budgets. These laws are the ones used by governments to develop their macroeconomic policies in order to influence the microeconomic, in the people.
Well, the Spanish Society is facing a historical monstrosity, one of an economic nature. The basis of the motion of censure, and the consequent seizure of power by socialism, was that corruption had to be punished and thrown out to regenerate, taking advantage of that moment to replace the demonized economic policies of the PP with others. That is, to change the supposed liberal approach to the economy, although it was not really liberal, as I have explained in the first paragraph, for a social democratic one with anti-system communist DNA. That was the intention, apart from placing their own in the manger, which has happened.
But, before continuing to argue economics, I have to make the opportune aside of the reality that has happened since the motion. The aspiring president stated that he would stabilize and call general elections and what he did was destabilize and later ensure that he will reach 2020 at any cost. And throughout the four months of the new government we have seen unusual changes in record time of criteria, plagiarisms, false curricula, lies, helicopter trips to concerts and weddings, slowdown of the economy, less affiliation to Social Security, increase in unemployment, impossibility of achieving the deficit target, very serious attempt to ignore the Senate in a taxed legislative procedure, shameful resignations of ministers, astronauts who do not pay taxes, and even, that a minister called a homosexual minister "faggot" or that the same minister, when she was a prosecutor, did not act when she saw crimes of pedophilia. We have also seen how the president blatantly pulled nepotism and placed his own wife in a university, without even having an official university degree, a university that is financed with public money.
Returning to the matter that interests this opinion article, it is necessary to consider the almost impossibility of Pedro Sánchez to achieve his vital objective of reaching 2020.
Without a general state budget law it is impossible to manage Spain. And a new PGE drafted for 2019 must have sine qua non the spending ceiling previously set. Given that the PSOE has only 84 Deputies out of 350, this is where the unsustainable weakness of the Government is verified, those who supported the president to be president now impose what they want, which translates into the anti-system communists imposing a spending ceiling that would literally burst Spain and set off all international alarms. The populists try to shoot public spending as if resources were unlimited, because after all, the one who shows his face is his puppet, the president of the Government of the PSOE. Therefore, if the task of setting the spending ceiling is practically impossible, the PGE 2019 drafted by the Government will never see the light. And without that Law there would be early general elections before the end of this year.
I said before that it was almost impossible for Sánchez to exhaust the legislature by virtue of the impossibility of setting the spending ceiling, as well as getting the new PGE. Almost? What possibility remains?
Pedro Sánchez has the card of the most absolute political indignity, that of the Valleinclanian monstrosity but, after all, coherent with all the demonstrated absurdities, both by him and by his Government, since they took office: to extend the PGE 2018 of the reviled Mariano Rajoy, whom he overthrew accusing him of applying liberal economic policies. Will Pedro Sánchez extend that General State Budget to which the 84 Deputies of the PSOE voted NO, as well as the anti-system communist Deputies, the independentists and the filo-terrorists? The president of the Government of Spain is capable of selling his soul to the devil in order to stay in power, he is capable of governing with the main economic tool of who he claimed was lethal and, in short, he is even capable of plagiarizing politically and economically the Popular Party itself.
