Two streets in Costa Teguise renew their asphalt with an investment of 85,000 euros

The mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, together with the head of the area, Eugenio Robayna, visited the improvement works on two main streets of Costa Teguise, which have been carried out thanks to the Island Plan for works in municipalities of the Cabildo of Lanzarote.

In the superficial asphalt renovation of Las Aulagas street in Costa Teguise, 41,847.50 euros have been invested, while the renovation of Las Higuerillas street has amounted to 44,060.71 euros. In total, more than 85,000 euros between both actions, which have also included signaling and accessibility works at pedestrian crossings.

"The renovation of the state of these two streets means improving the circulation of traffic of vehicles and pedestrians in a very busy area, since it connects two important avenues of Costa Teguise", said Eugenio Robayna.

The mayor of Teguise, for his part, stated that "without the support of the Cabildo, the rehabilitation of the municipality's road infrastructure would not be possible", and announced that the next intervention will be the paving of the Los Arcos road, which connects Costa Teguise with Guatiza.
