The Tías City Council has invested a total of 9,984.95 euros of its own funds for the acquisition of green fencing with posts, aluminum bases and clamp bags for the closure of Plaza el Pavón, in Tías, as a security measure for the area and to guarantee its maintenance. The fence will be opened every day at 8:00 a.m. and closed at 9:00 p.m.

The recent restoration of Plaza el Pavón has required a new intervention by the Tías City Council through the Departments of Local Development and Roads and Works, led by Kalinda Pérez and Mame Fernández, to ensure that residents can enjoy a well-kept and clean place with opening and closing hours.

Kalinda Pérez clarifies that they are not "prone to fencing or closing facilities or premises, but this area has been the object of destruction of street furniture and abandonment of all types of waste for a long time, so we have made the determination to fence it to protect the space."

The Tías City Council reminds that "public spaces also belong to the entire community and we must take care of them and respect them, avoiding throwing cigarette butts, plastics or any type of garbage, collecting pet feces and using a disinfectant, not uprooting plants or damaging recreational games or destroying benches and trash cans."

"We know that not everyone acts in this way and that the majority feels the public as part of the private because the quality of public spaces is a citizen right. We must take into account the importance of the existence of areas in good condition for the development of leisure, recreation or sports activities that every community requires to enjoy."
