The construction works of the new roundabout located at the confluence of Jablillo and Del Mar avenues, in Costa Teguise, are causing changes in traffic in the area these days, a circumstance that affects road traffic.
This improvement, framed within the actions of the Tourism Excellence Plan executed by the Teguise City Council, seeks to streamline traffic in this urban hub; however, until its completion, the closure of several sections of the road causes problems in travel.
The council requests drivers to be cautious and to observe the enabled signs as much as possible. The works, which will extend until mid-February, are budgeted at 205,700 euros.
Tourist Information Office
This action is added to others that are progressing well in the Tourism Excellence Plan program; this is the case of the construction work of the Tourist Information Office in Costa Teguise, a new service budgeted at 91,151.82 euros.
In a few weeks this small construction will be finished, located in a green area next to the Pueblo Marinero, the most central and emblematic place of the Urbanization. The new building will follow the same architectural typology of the area.
The integral adaptation of the Pueblo Marinero, one of the most emblematic actions to be carried out from the Teguise Tourism Excellence Plan, is carried out in several phases and will involve the full restoration of the Pueblo Marinero respecting the original design of this work carried out by the Lanzarote artist Cesar Manrique. The project was tendered for an amount of 180,303.64 euros.
White Week in the Aragonese Pyrenees
On the other hand, the Department of Youth and Sports of the Teguise City Council is developing a new edition of its White Week on March 12 and 18. In it, an expedition of about forty residents of the municipality travel to Aragon to enjoy winter sports in the Pyrenees, specifically at the Formigal ski resort.
