The spokesperson for the Socialist Group in the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Ariagona González, has shown her perplexity and discomfort at the latest occurrence of Oswaldo Betancort who, "after having proposed a popular consultation to validate his stratospheric salary increase, now comes up with a new idea: conducting a telephone survey".

González explained that this "surprising change of criteria is due to the fact that the Socialist Group registered on Wednesday morning a request for information on the regulations that protect this type of consultation and which is the competent body to agree to hold it, as well as the organizational aspects of the consultation, especially the term and mechanism of the call, as well as the control elements that allow guaranteeing the absence of any alteration of its results".

Faced with this writing, "Oswaldo Betancort has been forced to continue with his strategy of permanent flight and has resorted to the criteria of alleged experts to try to justify his scandalous salary increase with a telephone survey", says González.

"In the end, he will end up asking Marciano Acuña what he thinks about raising his salary," ironized the socialist spokesperson who lamented the embarrassing spectacle that the president is starring in just eighteen days after taking office."
