Between January and November, a total of 349,446 Irish tourists arrived in Lanzarote, while travelers from Germany numbered 236,1312 people, according to data provided by the Lanzarote Data Center.

The figures mean that Lanzarote has been the holiday destination for 47.9% more Irish people than Germans so far this year.

Compared to last year, German tourism figures have fallen by 3.3%, about 8,000 fewer tourists between January and November, while Irish tourism has increased by more than 32,000 people, equivalent to a 9.2% growth compared to last year.

Both tourist markets have practically swapped roles or the figures recorded a decade ago. Back then, between January and November 2015, 40% more German tourists arrived than Irish ones.

Specifically, 297,285 tourists arrived from German airports, while a total of 212,202 people landed from Ireland.

Thus, Ireland continues to consolidate its overtaking of Germany as the second most important tourist market for the island of Lanzarote.

The first was and continues to be, increasingly distant from the others, the United Kingdom. So far this year, more than one and a half million people have arrived from British airports, specifically 1,575,917 people.

Compared to last year, that's 32,000 more British tourists, and **in relation to the figures from 2015, it represents 500,000 more travelers**. Between January and November, a total of 1,070,959 people from the United Kingdom arrived.
