According to Lorenzo Lemaur, a popular councilor in the capital's City Council, "from the Popular Party we understand that Arrecife should be a city for people, to be able to walk, and not for cars, and this should be a firm purpose of the council's action."
In addition, the PP has urged the Municipal Corporation to commission a study to improve the operation of municipal buses, "so that the service is more efficient and more economical," they explain. According to the populars, this initiative would evaluate the number of necessary bus lines to adequately meet the demands of potential users, the frequency and the most convenient route of each line. In addition, it could also determine "the number of vehicles necessary to cover the service and a rigorous study of the list of jobs."
