The councilors of the Popular Party in the Yaiza City Council, Juan Monzón and Guayo Rodríguez, request the municipal government to get involved in the conditioning of the runoff areas that occur during periods of heavy rains in the surroundings of Playa Blanca and other points of the municipality. As explained by the spokesperson for the popular, Juan Monzón, the ravines that form are shaping over time desolate spaces that many unscrupulous people take advantage of to get rid of their garbage and debris.
“In the case of Playa Blanca we know that many points are within partial plans but we believe that this cannot be an excuse for the City Council to look the other way and not act”, says Monzón. “The municipal government has been aware of the problem for a long time due to the complaints that affected neighbors have been presenting, but the truth is that they have not been answered.” “Unfortunately, it is enough for someone to deposit rubble in these places once for other uncivil people to be encouraged to do the same and end up being spaces of uncontrolled dumping, which is totally unacceptable”, denounces Juan Monzón.
The popular recall that the regulations are very clear in this regard and the City Council has sufficient tools to reverse the situation and prevent what is now a terrible image from becoming an even bigger problem. For this reason, they urge the municipal government to act in all these points, removing the rubble and minimally conditioning the land so that it returns to its natural state.
