The Popular Party denounces that the "government of three" of the Haría City Council, composed of the three councilors of the Haría Municipality Platform, has put "at risk" the Pino festivities of the town of Punta Mujeres.
The populars affirm that they "share the discomfort felt at this moment by the residents of Punta Mujeres", who, less than a day before the beginning of the patron saint festivities in honor of the Virgen del Pino, assure that "they find that a part of the acts initially planned, and some even publicized, will not be able to be celebrated due to the City Council's refusal to take charge of the economic cost of the same, according to the Department of Festivities of the El Marinero Neighborhood Association".
For the local president of the populars, David Álvarez, the attitude of the municipal government is "lamentable", waiting practically until the beginning of the festivities "to communicate the changes to the commission". "It is shameful that at this point this spectacle is being given and the neighbors do not know for sure which acts will be celebrated and which will not, as is the case of the traditional burning of the coastal ones with which the festivities were to be opened," says David Álvarez.
Álvarez considers that on the part of the City Council there also does not seem to have been a will "to reach agreements that would allow maintaining the most important activities such as the game of the cucaña, because according to complaints, the pertinent permits have not been requested." "In the end, the image offered by the municipal leaders cannot be worse due to the improvisation and the lack of communication and collaboration with the neighborhood movement," say from the ranks of the PP.
The northern populars regret that once again the residents of the municipality are "the ones who pay for the ineptitude of a government of three people that does not give more of itself" and that day after day "manifests that the least that worries them is the well-being of the residents and the prosperity of the municipality itself." "Their only objective is to stay in the chair at any cost, even if it means vegetating and throwing days back until the end of the term," says the local president.
