The Popular Party assures that the president of the Cabildo, María Dolores Corujo, lied this Tuesday by denying that she was "hiding" the file of the Isla de Los Volcanes Rally. To support this, the PP group has made public the decree by which Corujo gave them access to that file, and which is dated the same Tuesday, "after the Popular Party denounced in a press release the concealment of the aforementioned file".
While the government group insists that the populars were able to consult the documents before, the PP criticizes that "the president of the Cabildo has the audacity to lie to the population so blatantly" and advises her to "focus on her responsibilities, in order to avoid this type of slip-ups, giving the impression that she does not even know when she signs the decrees".
With the documentation provided by the populars, they consider that it is "amply proven that it was after the public complaint of the PP, accusing the president of lack of transparency, when Dolores Corujo authorized access to the file that was requested on May 2".
From the ranks of the PP, they urge the president to "not use public resources, such as the institution's communication cabinet, to spread lies and assessments that lack foundation".
"If what Corujo wants is to make totally gratuitous and out of place political criticism, let her use the resources of the Socialist Party, but not those paid for by all citizens," they demand.
In addition, the party has also requested the holding of an extraordinary Plenary session to demand explanations about the cancellation of this sporting event.
