The Playa Honda festivities came to an end last weekend, with a large public participation in all the organized events, according to reports from the San Bartolomé City Council.
The little ones have been able to enjoy numerous events throughout all the festive days. And, during one day they were the protagonists and enjoyed inflatables, a jolateros workshop, and a musical show by Naily animations, which filled the venue.
The day ended with a Canarian ball championship, in which a total of 8 teams participated, each composed of 4 people. The winners in the final played on Saturday the 25th were the teams formed by Fran and Clemente Martín, who will receive their awards this Friday at 7:30 p.m. on the court located next to "Casa Tere", organizer of the event together with the City Council.
On Friday the 24th, the little ones enjoyed a Jolatero workshop, and the elderly enjoyed dancing by the Dúo Zafiro, at the Playa Honda Senior Center. All the neighbors who wanted to attend enjoyed the Dance Gala, by the Rosa del Valle Dance School, on the Guacimeta esplanade.
Thus, at 9:00 p.m., the presentation of the Playa Honda Wrestling Club and II Cabrera Medina Memorial took place on Guacimeta beach. At night, the "Great Night Foam Party" was held, with the performance of the Squads Artists and the D´js Urban Collective, Marcos Vilar, Arén Suárez, Raúl Sánchez, Airán Domínguez and Toni Cáceres
Horse race
The Playa Honda festivities also included a horse race on Saturday, in which 9 animals participated, which departed from Guacimeta beach towards the old town. At night, at 9:00 p.m., Oswaldo Machín presented his fashion collection on Playa Honda Avenue and the party culminated with a popular verbena.
In addition, on Sunday the XIII Wind Festival was also held, which, organized by Aena with the collaboration of the City Council, was a complete success. All audiences enjoyed kite building workshops, acrobatic exhibitions and kite exhibitions. In addition, a kite designed by Jesús Carrero was one of the attractions of the day.
Latin party
On Sunday there was also a Latin party and the big-gamba, based on the Tonterías Las Justas program from Cuatro. The festivities culminated on Sunday with the performance of Los Campesinos, Tahod and the Salineros de la Hoya and with the burning of fireworks.
