The organizers of the First Lanzarote Economic Thought Forum have taken stock of the conference held on June 28 in Costa Teguise, which they say has "constituted an unprecedented success." The organization has highlighted the "spectacular participation" in the event, which "exceeded the initially planned capacity, with just over a hundred attendees."
Among the attendees, it is also worth mentioning the main representatives of the business associations and organizations of the island, such as the Chamber of Commerce, the Confederation of Entrepreneurs, Asolan, Aetur, Wine Regulatory Council, Construction Association and Business Circle, among others.
To attend this forum, a total of 15 national, regional and local media outlets requested accreditation, as well as one of the main communication agencies in the country. This allowed the main media outlets to echo the event. Thus, the first Lanzarote Economic Thought Forum reached the pages of Expansión, finanzas.com, El Mundo, El País, ABC or El Confidencial, TVE, Antena 3, Televisión Canaria, La Nueva España, Diario Montañés and Levante MV, among others, as well as numerous radio stations.
Regarding social networks, the organization was broadcasting the conference via Twitter, and it was reinforced by the publications of two participants in the forum, José Carlos Díez, with more than 40,000 followers, and John Müller, with more than 17,000 followers.
The words of the former President of the Government of Spain, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, during this forum had a greater impact. His words monopolized the information disseminated by the media and on social networks. "We express our sincere gratitude for his participation, due in large part to the enormous affection he feels for Lanzarote," the organizers have said.
They also wanted to extend this gratitude to the sponsors of the Forum, namely Fred Olsen, Binter Canarias, Cicar, Hipotels, Fuerteventura Tourist Board, Teguise City Council and Lanzarote Island Council, and to the collaborators Hiperdino and Wine Regulatory Council.
The organization also wanted to thank Asolan "especially" for "its determined commitment to the event, a sign of the dynamism of an employers' association determined to improve the destination." In addition, it has congratulated and publicly expressed its gratitude to the speakers of this first edition, who "contributed to positioning the Thought Forum, from its birth, as the most important economic conference in the Canary Islands."
