The Nationalist Youth of Lanzarote (JNL) once again recalled this Sunday, October 22, their commitment to continue fighting for the consolidation and recognition of the Canarian people, with the traditional raising of the Canarian national flag, which this year took place at the Guigüán viewpoint (Tinajo).

The JNL, led by its general secretary, Maciot Cabrera, and its secretary of Organization, Aroa Revelo, gathered around the tricolor flag of the eight green stars, various organic and public positions of the Canarian Coalition, among which were the secretaries of national and island Organization, David Toledo and Echedey Eugenio, respectively, the general secretary of the 'Nationalist Youth of the Canary Islands', Jesús Machín Tavío, the president of the Cabildo, Oswaldo Betancort, the mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín Duque, and the mayor of Teguise, Olivia Duque, in addition to other representatives of the formation from both the Cabildo and various town halls, as well as from the different committees and the youth organization itself.

For Maciot Cabrera, with this symbolic act, the young nationalists "demonstrate a commitment that intensifies year after year." "We have been claiming a series of rights, values, customs and traditions common to all Canarians for 59 years and that define us as a people, and every October 22 we must remember and insist that our ensign, the tricolor flag of the eight green stars, symbolizes everything that makes us special and different," Cabrera emphasizes.
