The Island Congress of the Canarian Coalition will indeed be held this Saturday. The Justice system has rejected the request presented by militants close to Inés Rojas' candidacy, and will not dictate precautionary measures to stop the Congress. This has been confirmed on Radio Lanzarote by Echedey Eugenio, one of the members of the other list, now headed by David de la Hoz.
With this request, which has not been attended to by the Court, Inés Rojas' sector intended to postpone the Congress until the claims they filed against the process of electing delegates in the assemblies of Arrecife and San Bartolomé were addressed. In both cases, they considered that the statutes and internal rules of the party had been violated.
However, and although the legal battle could continue after the Congress, the Court has not granted the request to dictate precautionary measures.
