The Island Water Council of Lanzarote improves its vehicle fleet with the acquisition of a new vehicle, for an amount of 54,765.64 euros, including IGIC (General Indirect Canary Tax), which will be used for the Channel Surveillance Service."With the renewal of the vehicle fleet, we also improve the field inspection work we do to improve the ravines on the island in anticipation of heavy rains," according to the Councilor for Water, of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Domingo Cejas.
This Monday, in front of the Island Council building, the reception of the new white Toyota Hilux took place, an automatic all-terrain vehicle with four-wheel drive. The Councilor for Water and the representative of Sol Naciente Automoción, S.L, the company awarded the contract through a simplified open procedure with a summary in which four bidders participated, took part in the event.
The vehicle is acquired with funds from the Island Water Council of Lanzarote and is intended to modernize the fleet of vehicles of this entity, to replace the Pathfinder SUV.
The Island Water Council of Lanzarote has among its other essential functions hydrological planning, the management of the public water domain, and the authorization of water uses.
With these powers, the Island Water Council is consolidated as the key technical and regulatory entity to guarantee water security, the modernization of networks, and the protection of the most strategic resource for the present and future of Lanzarote.
