The Government of the Canary Islands opens the application period for the 2024/2025 academic year

The deadline for students of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education and Compulsory Secondary Education will open on April 8, while for Baccalaureate and Adult Education, it will begin on April 24

The Government of the Canary Islands will open on April 8 the deadline to apply for a place for the next 2024/2025 academic year for students of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education and Compulsory Secondary Education. In the case of Baccalaureate and Adult Education, the application period will begin on April 24.

The process, convened by the General Directorate of Administration of Centers, Schooling and Complementary Services of the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, Physical Activity and Sports, will extend until the 22nd, and affects students from more than eight hundred educational centers supported with public funds in the archipelago: public network of early childhood education schools, primary education schools, primary and secondary education schools, compulsory education centers, secondary education institutes, centers attached to
the group of unitary schools and the network of centers that teach for adults.

Applications and documentation may be submitted electronically through the link that will be hosted on the Ministry's website, as well as in person, directly at the center chosen as the first option, where applicants will find the form to be completed.

Both the Ministry and the centers have begun the admission procedure with the publication of information regarding their specific characteristics, including the educational project, regulations or the schedule of resources and claims.

Once the application period is over, the provisional lists of admitted, not admitted and excluded applications will be published on May 29 for Infant and Primary, and on June 7 for Secondary and Baccalaureate. Likewise, the period for allegations to the provisional lists and waivers of applications is established between May 29 and June 3 for Infant and Primary, and between June 7 and 12 for ESO and Baccalaureate.

Subsequently, the definitive lists of admitted, not admitted and excluded persons will be published on June 18, in the case of Early Childhood and Primary Education. In ESO and Adult Education, it will be June 28. The registration period for continuing students will be from May 6 to May 24 for Infant and Primary, for ESO and Baccalaureate it will be from June 24 to July 11.

The ordinary registration period for students participating in the admission procedure will be from June 18 to June 26 for Infant and Primary and from June 28 to July 11 for ESO and Baccalaureate. Also, and as a novelty, this year the calendar for the presentation of admission applications for the teachings of Vocational Training, Professional Teachings of Plastic Arts and Design, Sports Teachings, Elementary and Professional Music Teachings and Language Teachings has been brought forward.

In this sense, the period for applying for a place for basic, intermediate and higher level FP training cycles will be from April 9 to 23. The publication of the provisional list of admitted, reserved and rejected applications in each center will be made on June 10, and the period for allegations or waivers is established between June 10 and 14, while the definitive list will be announced on July 1.

Registration in Vocational Training may be formalized from June 24 to July 10. In addition, a period will be opened, from July 15 to 24, for those studies that, once the ordinary registration period has ended, have vacant places and do not have reserve lists. Applications will be accepted after the deadline until the groups are completed in order of registration. As an exception, a period for applying for places for intermediate and higher level training cycles in which there are vacancies and no reserve list will be opened from September 5 to 9.

In the case of intermediate and higher level training cycles in plastic arts and design, the General Directorate of Vocational Training and Special Regime Education has established the deadline for applying for registration and registration for the specific access test from April 9 to 23. The provisional lists will be published on May 2 and the final lists on the 9th, with the date chosen for the entrance exam being the 23rd.

Registration of those admitted or continuing or repeating students will be between June 24 and July 10. The application for a place for special regime sports education will also be from April 9 to 23 and the publication of the definitive lists on May 10, while the specific access tests will be held from May 13 to 16. The
registration period, after the publication of the definitive lists on June 27, will be between June 24 and July 9.

For elementary and professional music education, the holding of entrance exams has been established from July 10 to 20, once the application period for places has ended, from April 9 to 23. After the publication of the grades and the claim process, the definitive lists of admitted students will be published on July 28, with the ordinary registration period being from June 17 to July 8.

Those interested in enrolling in special regime language education may apply from April 9 to 23. On May 14, the provisional list of those registered for the classification test will be published, which will be held on May 29. The publication of the definitive lists will be made on June 25, while the formalization of registration will be from June 6 to 20 for continuing students and from June 26 to July 10 for new students.

Registration in Infant and Primary centers may be formalized from June 20 to 27. In the case of ESO and Baccalaureate students who have been promoted and not promoted, the established period is from July 3 to 14.

The list of courses and educational centers in which the different teachings will be taught, the access requirements, the calendar of the admission and registration process and other relevant information can be consulted on the website of the Ministry of Education.
